Today I’m going to talk about something super powerful that you’re going to want in your developer’s toolkit: behavioral biometrics.
Behavioral biometrics is all about understanding your players so you can create a fairer, more engaging gaming experience. And what game developer doesn’t want that? So, let’s start by answering “What is behavioral biometrics?” and then explore the fascinating ways it’s being applied to the gaming industry.

Behavioral biometrics is about understanding players based on how they interact while playing your game. By observing and analyzing patterns, we can use AI to create a unique profile for each player.
To create accurate profiles, Anybrain’s anti-cheat technology uses over 100 behavioral biometrics! For PC games, this includes things like:
- Typing style
- Mouse movements
- Keyboard mechanics

Are Behavioral Biometrics Accurate?
Accuracy is crucial when discussing behavioral biometrics. A natural question you have might be, “Is the data you get from behavioral biometrics accurate enough to base important decisions on?”
The short answer is a resounding yes.
The unique profile created for each player is incredibly detailed, based on over 100 different behavioral biometrics. With a solid baseline, it’s easy for AI to spot deviations that might indicate cheating.
Further, the Anybrain software has been tested on over 5 million unique players in over 19 million hours of gameplay and has been found to be incredibly accurate at detecting cheating.
In this article, you can read about one specific test where we tracked nearly 30,000 G-Loot players in 2021. Our software detected fraud in 723 unique users. G-Loot instantly banned 386 of these players (53%), while the rest were investigated further and handled on a case-by-case basis.
